Error code p1215

So is the fault with the wiring the wiring is too tight my car is it 2001 and he’s done a lot of miles 330,000 the wiring just seems really tight onto that sensor and comes out like a 90° angle

Hello, This has helped sort the same issue today, the LC has been 100% reliable since May 19 when i bought it, ive done about 55k miles since then. Today coming home from Yorkshire to Suffolk the engine died in the fast lane cruising about 65mph. She got me home though and with all of the participants of this thread help ive just fixed the fault as you guys described. Thankyou .

So guy's, if i were to replace my Spill Valve and or the spill valve controller would i need Techstream to associate it to my Landcruiser. ??

Afaik, the book says you have to take it to a diesel specialist and have the injection checked. But I've heard that people change the spill valve without doing anything else.
Can someone bring us some real knowledge here?

Thanks uHu much appreciated, im thinking about taking the LC on a long European trip and want to take parts that are easily changed that may be a show stopper. Ive tried to get Techstream to work with no luck and even Toyota couldn't read my ECU with their factory kit. Im sure a spill valve would be available it's just finding the part number.

The Denso/Toyota Part No. For the spill valve for the 1HD-FTE is 098300-0250 and the wiring has changed ! i guess due to the common fault that early FTE owners have of the connections on the spill valve corroding or become loose which brings up code P1215 and an engine stop. The wires are now set into the spill valve and the plug is remote. Hope this helps someone in the future.
As a heads up approximately £450 !!
Anyone with info re my earlier post asking if these needed to be coded to the vehicle would be appreciated. ?
