Hi all,
Well now winter is setting in, we are staying in on more occasions.
So time to buy a TV.
As there is no terrestrial TV in China, it is all cable.
If you don't want cable, which costs about £24.00 a year, then you have the option of satellite.
China has several satellites, with a limited number of English programs.
A satellite dish and box costs about £20.00, and they will fit it and set it up for you for an extra £5.00.
But now there is another very popular way, and that is live streaming.
We have just bought our TV with built-in Ethernet connection, and has it's browser.

Works very well, one can stop the movie, spin it forward, no adverts !
I believe from where we are on the Eastern side of China, we can pick up several Singapore or Australian satellites, if we decide to throw a dish up.
