Hi all,
Some might know we have started this years Europe touring holiday.
We both flew from Beijing to Paris, then I collected our Land Cruiser and caravan from UK.
Then we headed up to northern Germany, to Bremen, there a few days with great friends.
Then a tug down via Luxembourg, for the required "cheap fuel" we took on about 175 liters, at just €1,18 a liter, not to be refused I say !
Then on down through France on the non-tolled roads, heading for Froggy Steve, with hie maroon, 95 series, Colarado, in the Dordogne.
Several camping stops along the way, as we are in no rush.
So BBQ and great wine and beers in abundance, meeting a few of Steve's great neighbours.
Then heading more south to Astaffort, then onto Ax le Thermes, our last stop in France.
This camp site was at 1600M up a small winding mountain road.
Any lesser vehicle would not have tugged our twin axle caravan up there, and credit must be given to the LC.
Once on the camp, we realised the only way off, was a reverse, well, I did have my doubts, but the LC, again, made it all so easy, 100 meters reversed, up a grassy hill, and the LC made no bones about it, pushing a 2000kg caravan, backwards up a grassy hill is a feat for most vehicles, as many caravanners will know.
Here towing over the Pyrenees, where a few trucks didn't quite make it.

.

and then on to Andorra, hitting 2400M

.
At the obligatory "fuel stop", we again took about 150 liters, we needed no fuel at all in France.
Diesel in Andorra can be had for €1,12 a liter.
So good, we went in twice, second time with containers as well !!.
Snow was still there, quite strange, as it was around 26 deg, at the foot, and 16 at the tops.

.
Then eventually into Spain, some 50km south of Barcelona.
The sun is cracking the flags here, with 30 deg, every day, and very light winds, just making things nice.
Land Cruiser on cruise control almost all the way, set at 52 mph, giving around 22 mpg.
I think our total weight is around 4500kg.
Here south of Barcelona for a while, for now, life is idyllic.
