I have a 1992 FJ62. It has a 150l aftermarket petrol tank. When I got it the petrol level sending unit was not working. I replaced it and extended the float level arm to (mathematically) be on empty with 20 l left. Unfortunately there is a baffle or something in the tank that prevents full movement of the float so it only reads from 0 to 1/4. I have found a sensor that works on a horizontal float - see pic. It works from 0 to 190 Ohms. Does anyone know what the standard resistance of the standard dash level gauge is.

Thanks

According to Haynes for carb model it should be 17 when full and 120 empty.
Can scan the relevant pages if that helps.

I have tried to upload this several times today - unsuccessfully.
I will keep trying.
