Flashing overdrive light

Hi all,
The overdrive light on my 1993 VX auto starts to flash once its well warmed up (10 miles +). Every thing appears to work as normal though, so I'm wondering what it means. No mention of it in workshop manual that I can find.
Do I press on regardless and wait for it to go away or will the gearbox go away first?
Slightly worrying as the cars only just run in, 215000 miles on the clock.

My 24V auto started to to come up with the same thing, after a lengthy spell stood, just one flash of random length. All seemed fine in its operation though and after a couple of weeks it seemed to cure itself and hasn't done it since.

Thanks for the link to the manual, SeaJay. I haven't had time to investigate it yet but will have a look when I get back from skiing next week.
