Fast approaching new clutch time and was going to get a mate in OZ to send me one of the Exedy Tuff clutch kits I had used when down there.

We then noticed that they are 300mm diameter for the later 95 and up 80 series.
Think my '93 came as 275mm standard.

Anybody know if the '93 flywheel is wide enough for the later larger clutch?
As far as I can tell the flywheel 13405-17010 is for 1990->1998 so thinking it should take the bigger clutch plate/disc:think:

Also now wondering if the later 80 series 300mm 1HDFT flywheel 13405-17020 would fit in my 80 series.

Any thoughts appreciated as usual.

Dave.

Ummm, turns out to fit the 300mm clutch requires larger flywheel along with an adapter plate. Big ££.
OEM time.

You cannot fit the larger clutch, the flywheel is different, I did explore this a couple of weeks ago before fitting my new clutch/GB/TB combo. I was not advised that I need an adaptor of sorts so unsure there? And yes it will double the cost of the clutch install if you go that route, having said that a second hand flywheel might be the way to go if you are that intent on going bigger?

regards
