HI all need some advice,

got a 105 petrol (2000 model) , had a small fuel smell last few weeks that comes and goes after a few seconds , then on the weekend I was out doing some tracks in 40 deg heat , car was going fine for about 2 hours , we pulled up for about 10 min . I then started it up again and drove for about 100 meters and it started to splatter and wouldnt run so switched to sub tank and worked fine all day , but when i released the fuel cap it had a massive vapour lock that took a good 5 min to release but still wont run on the main tank . so any idea on what to look at before i go and pull the fuel pump out wound be good . have been seeing that maybe charcoal canister could be a problem too ?

what kind of fuel economy are you getting highway/city?

If you have 1FZ-FE engine in your car then you might need to check out charcoal canister. You car's charcoal canister is either clogged or your evap vent solenoid might be stuck closed or open. Fuel economy of 1FZFE is pretty horrible regardless how new or old the engine is.
