Yeah, G'day. I've recently bought a 2013 model Diesel LC200 GXL with 130,000Km on the clock. The previous owners put a bit of touring/off-road gear on it and I've added some more. So it's got 2" lift, uprated suspension, GVM upgraded to 3850Kg, steel bull-bar, Safari snorkel, 3rd battery with isolator and contact breaker to run a fridge, a drawer system, cargo barrier and fridge in the luggage compartment (3rd row seats removed), air rear diff lock, diff breathers, scanguage, 8mm wire pair to an Anderson plug at the rear to power the caravan's 'fridge while driving, 3.5t tow bar and electrical connector and I've got an 80-channel CB radio and a Stocklock Torque Converter lockup kit yet to be fitted, - and I've probably forgotten something.

At the moment I'm having a bit of a problem with batteries. I've just replaced all 3 since the starting batteries were original equipment and the auxiliary developed a shorted cell. The replacement was triggered by one morning the doors wouldn't open and when I used the key to get in, the start switch only beeped at me and wouldn't even turn on the accessories - lit up the headlights (high beam too) though.

I'll post the problem elsewhere on this forum as it's likely to be buried under my G'day.

Welcome aboard, Seems like you have an interesting vehicle there.
Looking forward to some pictures, when you have enough posts, and no doubt stories to go with the pics :)

G’day Pete and Welcome to this most friendly forum. As JT said, pics would be great and I think with this (newish) site, you can post pics from post one. This sounds like it could be the most modified 200 on here so looking forward to seeing it. I think the 200 is a bit thin on the ground but growing steadily on here. Members are very helpful though, so will try and help with your problem. Good to have you aboard, you’ve come to the right place.

Best wishes,
Rich

Welcome aboard Pete, an interesting truck by the sounds of it... looking forward to hearing more about your exploits and of course the mandatory photos

@StarCruiser is (one of) our resident experts at electrickery, so I’m sure he’ll be able to talk you through some trouble-shooting.

Ummm an Aussie with a Diesel......not sure if I trust him or not. Judgement reserved until after pics are posted in the porn section..oh dear ed told me not to mention that either

Welcome aboard the board! Aww that's naff! However, a serious welcome mate. I love Aussie
Toyota s and how you guys mod them for real off road use. This is a friendly forum - they even let me in here!!
Good luck with your battery problem, I am sure someone here will be able to help.
