From personal experience in Morocco

Zagora, Team Ali Nassir. fitted some new shocks and repaired a broken exhaust for me. N30 20.383 W5 50.220

And Boujdour

These guys repaired a broken axle mount and rear shock top mounts for me inside half a day. Plus they gave me breakfast and lunch

Two places in Zagora, Morocco, who have both done good work welding broken bits and servicing my Cruiser. Both thoroughly good guys and you wont get ripped off, very experienced with the needs of overland travellers.

Aziz at Garage Iriki, Avenue Atlas, Zaouiat El Baraka, Zagora. From the Timbuktu roundabout head down the hill southwards out of town towards the Draa river. Take first left, 150m on left.

While you are in either of these places ask for Najim. He will knock up a cheap and basic model of your car in less than 24 hours if you are leaving next morning, but if you are there for longer then he can do a really nice version with opening doors, steering wheel and chunky tyres.

Sadly, FNB 4WD is closed, can anyone recommend a good mechanic in Adelaide, South Australia, please? I have a Nov 05 Sahara turbodiesel 6 auto that I have been getting maintained by Toyota dealer but I have had enough of being patronised and paying top dollar through the nose for the privilege. Any suggestions gratefully received.
