Headed to Sutherland in Northern Scotland for a couple days camping

up in Sutherland for some camping and sea fishing
A Sankey trailer full of logs and coal for the tipi woodburner
Kayak and some beer and wine sorted.

Trailer tows,well, even over boulders on beach to get to our camping spot

Fresh mackerel for dinner tonight
Weather has been good, it all change later on tomorrow, so packing up early before the bad weather arrives

Yeah, we spoke to a couple of locals, who were all chatty and pleasant.
They said a lot more people used to camp at this spot, but with the link between land and island getting more washed After each winter storm, and also the access track becoming quite badly eroded, less do now.
Track too washed out for cars and motorhomes now, but some smaller camper vans have still got down to grassy area on mainland, but not across the beach ;)

One of locals was head of the coastguard, he said people had called from island during spring tides to say they were trapped, when they had carried camping kit over. The reply was wait for tide to go out !
