Hello from Devon

Hi all ,
Ive been sorting out an 80 series over the last few months with great help from old posts on here.
It’s all good now but needs more power to tow my caravan. Ive uprated the trans cooler but am now look at an intercooler, fuel pin and a mechanical injection tune.
Everything seams so expensive in the uk and there doesn’t appear to be many used parts for sale!
Are there any good suppliers/suggestions from the uk?

Nice 80 Jez, whereabouts in Devon are you?
So did you used to live outside uk?

Intercooler can be bought from Alisport, that's where mine came from.
Pump can be tweaked by Diesel Bob to good effect.
Turbo is the one most people seem to go with G Turbos offerings, from Australia.

Hi Jez,
Why do you find d it hard to tow your caravan?
I live in Devon and tow our twin axle van with no problems.
You do need to accept its a 30 Yr old vehicle.
I find the auto box more the problem than the engine.
Is your fuel tank pick up filter clean?

You have uprated the gearbox cooler but what made you do that?
When I first got my 80 the gearbox would overheat, it was due to the torque converter solenoid not working so didn't lock up.
