We are Jax & Amado

Our Landcruiser is 1983 HJ47, we call her Nulla she come from Nullarbor Plain, Australia. She was build to serve as an emergency vehicle for a mining company, then worked for a cave hunter for many years in Australia. She came to us about 10 years ago. We made many modifications to prepare her for our purpose; widen at the axel 14 inches, ARB lockers all four, 12ht engine with inter cooler, camper in the back, solar powered etc. Here is the build thread if you want to know more https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/building-a-landcruiser-for-overland-expedition.236987/page-35

If all goes well we plan to see as much of the world with her, we are shipping her to Zeebrugge, Belgium or Barcelona, Spain in December 2018 to roam the EU and other countries. Here is our travel website, links to other social media are also on our website http://www.nullacruising.com. The trailer and the side car are staying home on this trip. Our pet Sinag is coming with us.

We hope to meet some of you in our travels

Peace
Jax, Amado & Sinag

First of all thank you all for the likes and comments on our post.

For sure I will send you a PM today we are strongly considering shipping to Belgium, we are told it is the most direct route and less things to go wrong because there is no ship change. Our current plan is to have a beer with you then drive south for warm weather , maybe Portugal, Southern Spain, Morocco.. Gracias

hi Nulla, we are travelling in our HZJ79, we are currently in Las Vegas heading to Death Valley, Yosemite, San Fran, then down to LA and into Mexico in about 5 weeks.
it would be cool to introduce Matilda to Nulla, (she's from Queensland ;-) when we pass LA in a few weeks

That would be great, Nulla needs a friend from Queensland :) she has been to the Baja several times. We are going to Utah on Sept 14 and will be gone for about 2 to 3 weeks. I have not figured out how to send a pm on this site, so pm me and i will give you our contact info. Looking forward to meeting you.

Hi Nulla,

I noticed that Southern Spain in mentioned in your plans for Europe. Let us know as the trip firms up and we'll be glad to show you some 'off the beaten track' places. We are near Almeria.

Regards,

Rodger

Great, thank you so much for your hospitality we will keep you posted for sure.

Thank you again

Are there Landruiser specialist in your area? We are thinking of getting some work done on Nulla when we get there or some where along our route. Thx

Hi Nulla,

There are a couple of guys I know.
It would help if you could give an idea of the work you anticipate needs doing and then, from that, I can gauge who would be suitable.

Regards,

Rodger

Thank you, the main thing i want to address is an oil leak. I don’t really know for sure where it is coming from, could be the rear main seal the engine was rebuild about 50K miles ago. There is a minor grind between 4th and 5th gear if we end up separating the transmission from the engine i will consider rebuilding the transmission and transfer case. All this are really preventive, we been driving the Nulla many miles in these condition. I migh also rebuild the radiator also preventive maintenance. On this trip we plan to travel many countries in the EU and beyond ..... we want her to be in good health. . Thank you very much. I am not sure what the parts availability are in the EU, i can get the parts here if neccesary.

Hi Nulla, Jax & Amado, been busy lately and seem to have missed your intro, welcome to the forum!

If your European adventure brings you close or through Romania (recommended) then we'd love the chance for you to visit us at a place called Comarnic about 110 km north-west of Bucharest. Were close to the Carpathian mountains and if you could spare us a weekend we'd be honoured to show you a small sample of the scenery in 'our' area.

BTW, what's a Sinag... ? It's welcome too, whatever it is

Looks half bear half dog, so we should be ok as long as it doesn't eat cats... although with 5 or 6 cats mulling around now, maybe it's time for a cull...
