Help needed on brake servo

I have my Colorado in the garage getting a replacement servo fitted,

it seems the old one has a wire going into it ,
I wondered what this is for ???

as the replacement servo does not have the same place on it for the wire.

any help would be appreciated.

low brake fluid sensor?

or am i mixing up brake fluid master cylinder with servo being something else?

no it is on the servo its self not the fluid reservoir .

Could it be ABS related, I've not got ABS on my Collie and I don't have any wiring from the servo itself, only the low fluid warning on the res.
