My name is Kevin and I live in Sri Lanka. I own a 1983 Toyota Landcruiser BJ43 (diesel) soft top. I'm trying to decode the letters and numbers on the factory plates fitted to my 43, hope some of you here can help me with that?

Also, I rebuilt my engine (B engine 2977CC) where I found that some parts have a Daihatsu logo alongside a toyota logo, what is the reason for this?

Thanks in advance! Stay safe everybody!

The B engine was used in some Daihatsu light commercial trucks if that helps

Thank you David. This means that Daihatsu and Toyota had a joint production agreement at some point. The part in the photo i've attached is where i first noticed these two logos. it was really prominent after cleaning up and painting it. i've highlighted these two logos in red.

Toyota is a primary shareholder in Diahatsu, they've shared engineering solutions since the 70s I think.
