Thats interesting Frank, When i took the head off, Each turn of the 20 odd bolts gave a noticeable hiss, Like air being released.. Made me think why it would do that. Wasnt sure if it was a good or bad thing... Then i instantly forgot about it and cracked on with something else

That could be air being sucked into the thread holes, which are blind, as you undid them but I heard nothing when I took my head off. Important to get the oil out of the bolt holes before putting the bolts back in as you don't really want contamination on the surfaces and certainly don't want to crack the block by compressing oil in a blind hole. Done that!
