Well this is a bit different, but needed more warmth. Daytime was OK in alps , 20-25 Deg C, but only 6 at night
So headed to med, to St Tropez a short 130kph blast south in the Hilux

Had a short hop 1 hour east to Cagnes-sur-Mer near Nice, to a quiet small family run campsite with 30 pitches, the Camping factory in st Tropez with 680 pitches not for us more than 1 night
Explored medieval town on bike and the beaches.

Rain forecast in area so headed to Tuscany and wild camp up in mountains.
Found a nice spot up some tracks. Seen a few mushroom hunters walking around, but they haven’t said anything.

Really surprised by Tuscany and the size of the hills, had no idea it was so beautiful
Great coastline too

Did some more green laning in Tuscany, wikiloc routes I downloaded on app
A night in best Italian campsite we have found, near Florence
Before heading north to Austria
And Germany. Didn’t enjoy German Autobahns, always hold ups and roadworks

Now on ferry home to Newcastle from Ijmuiden
Been a great trip, felt like we have been away for a month, so many experiences and different scenery, highlights have been the alps tracks and tunnel du parpillion , wild camps and tracks and wild camp in Tuscany
Will bring e-bikes next time for alps, hired some on this trip in Embrun

Got home this afternoon after a smooth overnight ferry crossing to Newcastle
Covered 3071 miles trouble free in the Hilux.

Now to take RTT off after airing it and plan some long weekends camping in Scotland with Tentipi and woodburner

Firewout - you are right German beer has no taste compared to Belgium beers

Bloody cold here compared to continent..
