How to remove runs from clearcoat

Took me a very long time and lots of trial and error to learn the secret of good paint repairs has more to do with sanding it off than it does with putting it on . Rattlecan or paintbrush it all sands smooth , cutting compound is all abrasive ranging from rough cut to glass like finish fine . Its liquid sandpaper .

I had cause to respray a wheel arch flare recently after yet another anonymous supermarket car park incident, poxy shopping trolleys. As Shayne says, putting it on is the easy (hard!) bit. A generous clear cote leaves plenty of scope to get a good finish with the compound.
