Hz rev counter pick-up location??

Hi all
I am new to the Hz, but being the new owner of a 2007 HzJ76, i will be learning fast. What I do miss is a rev counter and I have an option of putting in a aircraft style engin monitor which has a rev counter, ( and a real temp meter) with a number of pick up options.
what does the HZ use as a pick up and where is it located, alt, IP or flywheel.
Is there a chance that the pick up is already installed.
A pointer in the direction of where to start looking would be apriciated

I think it is picked up from the alternator

Nope, not the alternator .

It comes from the injector pump.
