HZJ75 Ute Doors

Rebuilding a 1995 75 series ute. Unfortunately it came with the troopy doors which don't fit correctly, there's a small gap in the top corner of the door. Having trouble sourcing some new doors for the ute, it seems they are not readily available and expensive. Looking for recommendations..? has anyone welded up the gap above the door to make a troopy door fit the ute? or modified the frame of the troopy door to make it fit the ute?
