I just reactivated the AC on my 1990 HZJ80 Diesel. Every time I turn on the AC, my idle goes up from 800 to about 1,800 RPM. Trying to figure out how to adjust the idle and can't find any idle adjustment setting on the amplifier/cooler stabilizer or elsewhere. Does anyone know how to adjust the idle or whether a new part is needed?

Dave, there is a vacuum controlled actuator for the AC idle up left of the injection pump. It can be adjusted in several ways. However as your RPM goes up to 1800, I suggest you check the vacuum breather that is mounted under the power steering reservoir and behind the PS oil line.

Thanks, Peter. I will take a look. I may have solved the problem, though. After disconnecting/connecting my AC vacuum line actuator (assuming it's the small round unit with the vacuum tubes), I noticed a second idle screw adjustment on my injector pump. I backed it off to bump up the AC idle about 100 RPM over idle and it seems to be working great!
