Guys some of you may have or have wanted to changeover to these. Mine being over 6 years ago to switching over. Everything was great with them other than when they go wrong there a pretty much throw away item.

Mine went wrong on the drivers side some months ago. The brake light failed to work with only the standing light working. I took it to the specialist electronics store for repair. Bottom line it’s a half fix with 3 if the leds not working. So having to live with that for now.

My plan is to replace the electronics for the red standing and brake light eventually with a led alternative as a option that’s possible.

Having researched on a lot of people experience failure with these.

I have the same problem with my front side/indicator combo LEDs in the ARB bumper, the side /DRL light has packed up on both (at different times) but the direction indicator part is fine.

Chuck-away parts it seems...

Yes Clive most are non repair items hence why I had to cut into it to access the electronics. Whats your remedy Clive for the DRL's?

Two options Dervis:

(i) Ignore them (they are only repeaters to the side lights in the headlamp units) and carry on regardless; or

(ii) replace them with equally cheap and nasty eBay Chinese units....

They’re only in there to fill the hole ARB put in the bumper, since the ARB indicator units dissolved a few years ago... TBH...
