Think he know's that now.

Not posted for his benefit, posted for future reference of anyone on here finding themselves in the same situation.

I once had a toddler brought in to the ED that had pulled a hot drink over itself, the Chinese parents had coated the child in some sort of oil, apart from making the kid ridiculously difficult to hold they basically basted the kid! It was horrific.

The first really serious burn I saw was in Iraq, from the riots after the police station was knocked down. I couldn't understand why the medical team were flapping, and despite him being conscious knocked him out and put him on a ventilator, 24 hours later and after fasciotomies (look it up if you wish but be warned it aint nice!!) I realised why!!

Burns are deceptive, they can look OK at first, then after 24 hours look horrendous
