Lincomb Autumn 2011

 I think I would have expended less energy just strapping it to my back & hauling it around the course than with all those penalty laps!!!

BTW, Matt is going to pay for his poor geometry skills on the tyre pull next time out if I have anything to do with it!!!
I've just been watching Rob's video of me 'helping' him out on the tyre pull - I didn't realise what a poor job I made of it all from the amount of penalty laps you had to do!!! Its a wonder you placed at all in the event!!!

Had a great time, despite the 450 mile trek there and back - managed to get home before 21h00 last night fortunately. To echo everyone - many thanks to the organising team - fantastic effort, and many, many thanks to Tony and Becks and crew once again for their amazing hospitality - Khubu and I had a great time - he wants to know where Blue is, though

Some pics - I didn't get to take as many as hoped, but hey-ho..

Thanks for all the positive feedback, the weather certainly helped, and I guess the changes are an improvement. They will continue.
All ideas welcome too.

I have now got all the punches in and markers, EXCEPT for one, 27. Its in the wood, only had a quick walk around this evening as it looked like a storm was on the way, so didnt look too hard. My excuse anyway!!

Only one piece of "muppetry", wife not too happy with the turf ripped up in our hay field at the far end by the river by someone doing a couple of doughnuts, :( , gotta keep her happy if you want more desert!!

Date for next one nearly done, post soon.

Many thanks for all coming along to make it a top weekend, the best one IMO.

Cheers,

Thanks for the water Tony .... didn't need a single drop .....

Glad you all enjoyed the weekend, makes the effort worth while to see so many positive comments - thanks.

We don't need any public finger pointing but please please respect the land around the farm. It will not take many things like this to happen before we will not be able to use the farm. Like laning it is the minority that spoil it for the majority.

well guys the photos look fantastic and certainly one for the diary for next year

Don't want to start a big issue / discussion around this, but I remember hearing something about a vehicle seen down that way that had nothing to do with us?? Could be way off the mark though ...

Looks like you all had a cracking time, some more than others :D ;)

How did you get all those cones there in the end then?

PS - More pictures please :D

There was a mitsubushi l200 camping down there.
I saw the doughnuts, done on the 2nd day I reckon, looked like a tighter circle than an l200 would manage.

I am sorry to say Garry that it was one of us that was responsable, he/they were seen by a few of us and I really do hope that he/they PM Tony with his/their apologies. It would be a shame if we lose this fantastic event because of the actions of one individual.

Steve

sorry to hear some one had been doing dohnuts on your field Tony.

i saw the L200, looked like they were camping. didnt see any dohnuts or anyone making them though. :(

im glad there was no other damage and that the woods is all ok. was a great weekend.
