Update time,

lots of little things done.

after the first test drive ( road up and down ) it started to leak oil and coolant.

IMG_20141024_102455.jpg

replaced the valve cover gasket

IMG_20141024_102446.jpg

replaced the water pump

IMG_20141007_161816.jpg

modified the airfilter house to fit nicely to the snorkel

IMG_20141010_083302.jpg

shot blasted and painted black.

IMG_3059.JPG
bought an air scoop from a Nissan Patrol.

IMG_3111.JPG

I wanted to mount some speakers in the car, because of the high roof there is a unused space between the original roof and the high roof, perfect for 2 nice big speakers
so I made a wooden frame to mount the speakers in to.

IMG_3112.JPG

IMG_3113.JPG
some black vinyl

IMG_3115.JPG
trimmed

IMG_3116.JPG
ready

IMG_3119.JPG
fitted in the car, put some sound absorbing stuff behind it to give it a better sound, and they sound great :music-headbanger::music-headbanger:

IMG_20141111_160153.jpg
bought a set of new tire's 35 x 12.5 x 15 Kuhmo KL71

need to spray the rims as they a badly rusted

IMG_20141115_122852.jpg
Also bought a new winch

Dragon winch Highlander 9000 http://www.dragonwinch.co.uk/products/product-overview.aspx?pid=f5bbf94d-a36a-4272-8302-d86f1f274f45
should go like stink with a 9 hp motor on it

IMG_3126.JPG
making a winch and bumper mount, holes needed to be drilled.

thats all for this week, little trip planned over two weeks and still got a lot to do on the car.

This is a great restoration that I'm checking pictures whenever I need info for my own LJ70.
