Then made the first template

Then made and clamped panel in place

Made second template and trimmed first panel

Spot welded second panel in place

Then seam welded and cleaned welds up

Then it was time for the sills to be cut out and box section welded in.

Rock sliders where then made, tube was too thick to bend so put a cut in and welded

Making the box section fit the wing used panel adhesive across the back so if wings ever need to be removed

Then welded on rock sliders

Then made the rusted away part on the body, sandblasted and welded in place.

All in etch primer ready for the black raptor finish.

Time to make an exhaust, thought I’d use my mates old exhaust from his Vauxhall Tigra Drag car plus a rear box/tail pipe from a Colorado.

Had this turbo flange made

Shaped the pipe up cut from the old exhaust and tacked it on

 

[Shaun]

Welded all the way round

 

[Shaun]

Bought a stainless pipe step up from eBay and welded on.

Using good old cable ties to hold roughly where I want the exhaust to sit.

 

[Shaun]

The bend on the drag exhaust was perfect round the chassis outrigger which was so lucky but just needed 3 slits just to change the bends slightly near the turbo.

All welded up and ready for fitting

Then made a support bracket using an original but new exhaust mounting.
