Good day sir ..im having problem with the auto transmission theres a delay on take offs after i convert to mechanical injection pump.. even i have connected the TPS and make it work but still theres a delay

1KZ-TE to mechanical pump ?

I'm thinking the throttle butterfly plate might be the problem .

I was thinking to remove it .

I never did quite work out its true function besides smooth shut down but it has something to do with the egr I think . Regardless you should have all the fuel you need so I' expect the delay is air related and only the butterfly restricts that .

Thanks for the suggestion il go look into it..as for the butterfly in the throttle it has been removed.. im using upgraded injection pump.. theres no problem in shifting and highway speeds..the only problem is at start and take off its delayed specially if you start in an inclined the engine will just rev it wont move until the pedal is on the floor

Ah so the fuel pump conversion is likely nothing to do with the question . I don't know much about automatics but my very first thought just from years on the forum is water in gearbox oil .

1KZ-TE in the 90 series auto cools gear oil by passing it through the radiator and has been known to mix coolant and oil when the radiator corrodes internally . Is yours the same ?

Have a look around the 17 minute mark for an explanation of the butterfly
