Ideally a manual as I’m on auto diffs at the moment and rpm’s are too high but I’ll take either and worry about ratios later

Well you need to match the front other wise you will have a bang somewhere

Sounds like your tyre's are too small! My 81 ex auto loves running 35's with the manual box and the speedo reads bang on! Don't mix your drinks (i.e. mixing ratios on your axles!) I'll end in disaster!

I’ve swapped out the auto for a manual box and it’s on 33’s. At 80/85mph motorway speeds the rpm’s are too high.
I’ve already got a front axle with manual ratio diff, now I’m looking for the rear to match. If I can’t find a manual ratio rear axle I’ll take an auto and swap the ratio to manual, just depends on what’s available.
