Just had my MOT done, passed with no problems :D

Last year it only just passed the emissions, i have since replaced the turbo.

These are the results i have now, are these good or bad, means nothing to me.

Oil temp:61

SMOKE READING
Peak1 = 1.86 m-1
Peak2 = 1.37 m-1
Peak3 = 1.21 m-1

Zero Drift = 0.00 m-1 PASS, MAX 0.10

Average = 1.48 m-1

MOT Test Result
Turbo = 1.48 m-1 PASS, MAX 3.00

Look alright to me- and it passed the MOT :clap:

my motor home always has great emmission then i show the MOT that the tail pipe trim has a fake exit hole, the majority of the exhaust gases exit in the slot under it!

My 3.2 DiD Shogun can register just under 1. My KZJ 70 registers about 1.5. Many old Land-Rovers struggle to get under the magic 3.

The smoke test passes ex.gases through a piece of kit that measures the light reduction over a distance. A light source of known luminosity at one end and a light measuring receptor at the other. The thicker the smoke, the less light gets through. This is one method. There are probably others.
