New Toy

Cheers Andy sorry for all the questions, the 80s are new territory for me after owning 70s for the last 11 years.
 
No worries Shaun, I've been around 80's for the past 22 years and I'm still learning. GS's are a bit of a rarity though.
 
My GS has that same sunroof, can't get it open to fix it.
I am almost ready to hit it with a hammer and weld a plate in... :)

They have a worm gear and the sprocket is nylon that wears then the rest siezes if i remember corectly

I had cut this out of a Colorado a few years ago that I broke.
Almost identical to the one on my 80.
Except this ones manual.
 
the side steps are wrong, they have been fitted to the wrong side swap the over works better.
 
I notice this now. Il add it to the to do list. Mainly cosmetic stuff though.

So decided to pop the passenger rear glass out to see the extent of the rust.
Going to mask off with shot blast proof tape and see what I’ve got left.
