noise when backing off throttle

hi all, my lc150 2010 diesel (totally standard) has a strange noise when backing off. Sounds like a neighing horse for want of a better description! Doesn't sound mechanical, tends to be mid range after power then off the throttle and sometimes makes this sound. Asked about this on other forums without success. Hope someone here has had the same issue...

I'm sure i've read of vibrations in the air box intake area causing odd noises in 4 cyl 3 litre Toyota Diesels.

thanks. It does sound like an induction noise but progressively got worse over the last 2 years. i will a closer look but if someone can link a thread to the above that would be really useful
