Hi,
We are keen to find out from the forum who people would recommend are good quality Troopy fit-out specialists. I am aware of the DRIFTA crew which we will check out. Keen to find out what other Aussie manufacture there are in NSW. Thanks in advance for sharing your recommendations.
Cheers,
D

Drifta did the fit out in my Troopy, very happy with the results and their work. Give Beechy a call, he can design or adapt anything you require. 49F0D547-1125-4CAA-9F22-21E0024E328B.jpeg

Hi Charlie, that is a beauty! The layout is perfect.
We are thinking of something similar, only difference is that we will require to keep 2 seats at the back for the kids. Have you seen over the years any good layouts whereby at camp the the rear seats are folded down to create a bed? I've been searching the web for ideas but can't find any examples.
Yep, I've reached out to Mark last night. He already replied, his on the ball.
Cheers, D

I don’t have any photos of the set up you talking about, but I’m guessing Beachy would have.

Hello Forum Members,
I have another question for the experts :) GVM upgrades... what is the benefit of upgrading GVM before you pick up the vehicle from the Dealer? Apart from a Federal certificate and a ~$500AUD saving is there anything else that I'm missing? I find it difficult to justify donating new suspension (not to mention other gear you would get while at the shop - bumper / rear) before you even drive the vehicle. Keen to hear what people think? Should I be expecting a discount from the shop for the gear?
Cheers, D

As you say, it gets Federal certificate instead of a State/Territory certificate - also sometimes can be higher than retrospective ones.

If you get the later upgrade, when you come to sell it, an interstate buyer will need to get it re-certified for their State/Territory (~$1000) so that may impact on your audience

Hey Dobrasz, did you end up doing the impossible and converting a Troopy into a camper for 4 people?
I've got 2 little ones and it's my dream, but unlikely to become a reality.
Seems like what may have been a niche market in the past, may be an untapped market with COVID these days. I see this question a few times a month on the Troopcarriers of Australia Facebook page, but no one seems to have a good answer.
