Thought I would start a thread for the petrol 80, mainly for showing things that I do to it repairs upgrade you all know what I mean.
Well I have driven it home just love the thing I can't think I got great mpg it just sounds to good not to put your foot down
1st upgrade will be a set of BFG KO2 should be fitted tomorrow
Then on Friday a decent head unit will be going in like this one, I already have this unit in my Troopy and love it

I just what to go out a drive the thing, It will be the daily driver as I have decided to sell my 2017 D-Max Blade, That was a hard decision I tell you

The Petrol 80 is definitely the best!! Apart from the smell and mist of fumes from the exhaust on a cold morning, and the engine has upped its revs!!!

Spare key cut at the local locksmiths for a grand total of £24

Looking forward to see how you get on. I picked mine up in November last year and love it. As you said above, I just want to drive it everywhere all the time :)
Interested to which size you go for on the tyres as mine came with K02s but they're a thinner size than the ones on my 100.

I have always had that size or bigger on an 80

Have to love a petrol 80, it's a nice looking motor you've bought.

Well that plan did not work so well I took the centre console top part with the higher arm rest out of the VX 80 only to find it is not the same shade sort of brown ish so I’m now on the look out for a grey one

New head unit fitted today

Taking it to get it sprayed with Krown on Monday, then I have spent enough cash for now. Apart from petrol:laughing-rolling:

And 285/75R16 KO2 fitted seems to drive better

Seconded, I forget what brand my 80 had when I bought her, but the 285/75 bfg ko's feel really nice and should true the speedo, ish.

No mapping on the unit I have TomTom and Google maps on my phone via Apple Car Play
So the unit doesn't have its own GPS, it uses one from a device?

I have no idea tbh, but I have had the same unit in my Troopy for a year now and has been great
