Opinion and readings on third party Gauges.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone here has installed third party gauges for Egt , boost coolant temp, oil pressure etc . I have installed a Defi ZD advance multilink meter . I wanted to know and compare readings from it with others.
I find this tool handy as in for preemptive care and gives you live diagnostics as to whats happening in the engine,

however I do also find that once the alarms and ranges are set . One is more careful driving and doesn't abuse their vehicle.
What are other peoples experience or thoughts and readings on this.
