hello all
Has anyone found a better portable fuel filter than the Mr. Funnel filters from the Usa?
Here is the link to the company website.

This looks like a fairly simple system and cheap way to protect the engine when on out of the way travel.
Anyone used these? Seen better ones?
Many thanks

I've not come across this specific brand but I'd be tempted to use a tank filtration sock if there's any doubt about the fuel you're using. The engine fuel filter should catch any contamination off course but if the fuels very dirty the filter could become blocked in a relatively short space of time. I use one on both bikes. I found the dirt bike especially is susceptible to dirty fuel but the tank sock provides excellent filtration at the expense of slightly longer fill time. JMO

Thanks TP. The only benefit of the funnel type that I can see is that it can catch water too. So while I know the fuel filter in the truck will catch water and dirt the funnel stops dirt and water from even entering the system so reducing the work load on the truck's filter.
Still would be interesting if any other Overlander have found better methods.
Cheers.
