This looks a handy bit of kit to complement the main winch for £250.

This is the winch you need. At home, on the road, on the trail, at the track, at the boat ramp - anywhere you could use a pull, the Superwinch Winch2Go is ready. Pulling 4,000lbs the Winch2Go has everything you (included!) need to safely pull up to 8,000lbs. See what makes the Winch2Go the smartest choice.

They supply a snatch block, that'd give you an 8000lb pull should be OK unless you're pulling up a cliff.

For someone with a very occasional use for a winch or just as a 'be prepared' addition to the emergency toolkit I reckon that's a great idea. Sure, no good for serious offroading or HD recovery but that's not what it's aimed at.

Goodwinch have done a "winch in a box" for a while.
