power steering

Hey just done up 91 model cruiser ute with 1hz,done steering box and pump, power steering was working fine when I first started it up but now I've noticed wont turn at idle but give it revs it turns. Theres no noise, any ideas ?.

Is the belt tight?

Sounds like either a loose belt or pressure problem in the pump

No belt mate its 1hz gear driven

Might be aerated fluid, let it sit for a bit with the cap off the reservoir and then retry.

We did a 1HD 100 series at work the other day and did a similar thing, was just aerated fluid

Im still going to go with a slightly blocked gauze in the inlet into the pump.

Just put brand new pump on and still the same, steering really heavy. Have bled it, must be steering box ?.
