This evening my rear wiper started to slow down and after 2 or 3 very slow wipes it came to a stop. When I got home I tried to see if I could free it and the threaded spindle just sheared off (I didn't have to apply much force at all. So now the wiper arm is in the boot...
The nut is badly rusted, so corrosion has gotten down the spindle and seized rotating mechanism. This is despite the covers and rubbers being fully intact. Thinking that a breakers would be the best bet for a replacement. (Afraid of Mr.T!!) Age gets to the externals eventually I suppose.
