repair or replace 5 speed manual

Hi im after some info on repairing or replacing 5 speed manual, symptoms are,,throws out of 1st gear and wont select 3rd or 4th gears..i have replaced Oil .

I'm guessing due to the manual boxes relative rarity it would be easier and probably cheaper to repair the one you have. But depends if you can wait the down time while it's being rebuilt

Have you tried adjusting at the pedal ?
