So driving home the other day and my 2000 Land Cruiser shut down. It was a block from the house so I pulled it home and started to take it apart.
Turns out the timing belt was shredded. The 2000 uses an interference engine, so I'm afraid the truck may be ruined.
I just replaced the AC compressor (about 30 minutes on the new AC) and many other new parts , so I'm torn between repair or sell for parts.
Anyone here have experience with the 2UZ-FE engine and a busted timing belt?
