Someone's in trouble...

Take heart Clive they resigned because accountability is on the up , perhaps due to the credit crunch and America's obsession with where all the money goes and why .

The Isle of Man prison was condemned unfit for human habitation about 30 years ago or maybe more yet was overcrowded on a scale of 4 to 1 with no plans to address the situation . The hospital (for lack of a better word) was in a worse state again with no plans for improvement .

Then America announced its crusade against money laundering and tax evasion and within a year they were digging footings for both new buildings .

No need to argue with any of that Shayne.

What upsets me (and the best part of 19 million other folks here) is that the government and the judicial system are a steaming pile of shite and the populous is just starting to realize quite how smelly that is and more importantly, that they may be able to do something about it.

Entering into the EU does have some benefits, they can file cases in the European courts in Brussels for one and a host of other actions that weren't open to them before joining. Hopefully some actions will bring about change if they're publicized enough.

Not so many people where i'm from and no outside court of appeal .
