Stainless Exhaust?

My 2003 lc4's original exhaust lasted until november 2014..the replacement back box has lasted 26 months.

I'm not at all happy: it had a minor leak in november at mot, which would have been withing the typical 2 yr warranty most exhaust manufacturers give. 2 months later it's corroded to the point where it has broken off where it joins the tailpipe.

West coast supplied and fitted it, I'll ring them monday and see what they say, but suspect it's tough luck.

The car's a keeper, so unless cost is prohibitive I'll be looking at a stainless system.

Any recommendations?

Im sure you have heard of prospeed so we wont go into that but you may be interested to know that since i bust the 3" stainless exhaust , which of course was repaired under the lifetime warranty on my 1kd (d4d) 90 series i have been thinking about removing the silencer .

Fact is it sounded better without , though the break was just after the downpipe so the turbo whistle was annoying .

Update on this:

I bit the bullet and paid for a stainless. It cost £294 fitted for a fabricated system in stainless from http://www.lathommotorcraft.co.uk/ in West lancs.
They were great to deal with, and re-used the original tailpipe section, as it was still in good condition. As subsequent parts of the system fail I'll be replacing them with stainless.

Not bad value: the pattern exhaust I has fitted last time lasted 2 years and 6 weeks, and cost £80 plus fitting:http://www.milneroffroad.com/toyota...j120-exhaust-0/kdj120-exhaust-pipe-box-centre.

Lathom motorcraft's system has a lifetime Warranty.
