Watching with great interest, It reminds me of when I restored a 1957 series 1
Landrover, that ended up with a V8 and power steering and won many trials.
Does he/she have a name yet

Hi and welcom love the old 40s you will have a lot of fun with that good look with it from Tony. P S keep the pics comeing.

cleaned out filthy fuel line and rebuilt the carby using the old gregorys manual and youtube - she fired up this morning but she will not stay running at low revs?

Usually on carbs, idle uses a slow running jet, maybe that's blocked. IME these jets are often seated in carriers, when you remove the carrier, the jet can often be clear, but debris has built up in the carrier and only restricts flow when in operation.

I know nothing about your particular carb, this is just my findings playing with various carbs on different engines in my misspent youth
