steering wheel height not staying set at the same height

So recently I was working on the steering wheel height Adjustment to check why the back and forth motor wasnt working and when we put everything back in place now the height doesnt stay on , meaning every time I switch ignition off and than on again I have to set the steering wheel height again ! does anyone knows why?

I would guess either worn out motor, or increased friction in the screw. The adjuster screws need to be cleaned and lubed every few years. Otoh, if you have the automatic "up-and-away" function enabled, the motors will not last long. This is one of the few systems on the lc100 that does not last for life, unless you turn off that automatic steering wheel function. It's easy to do in TechStream, so if you do it right away, while you still have a partly working adjuster, the motors might last a few more years.

thank you , the height motor is working fine , the up and away is also working but the height that I would like to keep automatically is not staying ( it was before ) so I wanted to know why ? I have to set it to my personal height every time I turn on the car
