struggling to find the correct oil

SWMBO's car is a 306 cabriolet 2002 1.6 automatic
and i want to do a gearbox oil change

the only oil that i can find is suitable is
LT71141 made by Esso

the only place i can find that sells this is main dealer @ £17.98 per litre

is anyone able to cross reference this oil to see what other manufactures etc may have a suitable fluid

Have you tried using opie oils site and putting your car details in ? It will usually recognise the Make/Model from the reg and list suitable oils for it.
