We have had a tap dripping well slowly running for quit a while in our bathroom basin which has left a stain, taps replaced today, any suggestions for removing the stain.

The mrs says toilet descaler though shes talking about industrial products they use at work .

Presumably limescale build up stains? DO NOT use an abrasive product of the ilk that - "sparkling white in 5 seconds". They take the protective glaze off and the ceramic underneath will get stained much quicker and will always look dirty. I know this through experience....

Agree with Shaynes mrs. Use a de-scaler which will dissolve the limescale - but be prepared for multiple applications. Or drench a cloth in de-scaler and leave to soak.

Cillit Bang Lime and shine. Squirt it on and the stain will literally disappear in front of your eyes. Shines up chrome with very little too. Couldn’t believe it when I did ours.

For anything major ‘Kilrock’ is good strong stuff.
