Hello All,
Can I tow someone out of trouble using the standard towing point under the back of my 150 or do I need a special mod or a tow bar?
Thanks in advance!

The standard tow loop is fine (until it fails ). Not done anything on mine but the tow loop on the 120 (pretty much the same) took a fair amount of abuse and did not bend or break.
Use it for a snatch recovery? Depends on how stuck the other vehicle is...

thanks Crispin!
BTW - what's the most useful length and strength if I only carry one rescue rope? Can you recommend an online store for these?
best

A useful length is one that reaches ;)

I carried a 20m 5 ton one like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4x4-RECOV...2616?pt=UK_Recovery_Tools&hash=item3a904bd768
Coiled up it fits nicely into the net baggage thing in the back of the 120. It should fit into the hidey-hole thing in the 150 as well.
Truth be told though, it was too long and I normally doubled it up.

Be sure to get some shackles as well. Best to get rated and tested ones. You don't want cheep ones breaking on you.
