Can anyone please advise me how to locate a Toyota Prado 120 diesel Neutral start switch. I have intermittent starting and suspect this is my issue
thank you.

Hi Folks i found it but cannot easily remove it
I am thinking the horizontal tube running across the neutral start switch is one of the automatic gear box cooling lines, and i should be able to remove it from one end and "plug" it to save losing gear box oil.
Can anyone confirm this for me please?
I am a novice in this area
Cheers

I can't help you with this because I never owned an auto but i struggle with the idea that a switch would be included in any coolant line ?

As I understand it though their is a throttle sensor on the gearbox somewhere which might possible relate to your issues ?

Just offering some input hoping it might prompt conversation from those who know more than me .

Thanks for your reply Shayne
the gearbox cooling line is physically close to the Neutral start switch and preventing me from removing it

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my Post Trevor. The diagram is correct. I spent some time yesterday looking and found it. The part number is also correct

I believe the cooler is filled when the gearbox pump is running, once the engine is off the fluid will run back into the gearbox. So you should be able to undo the pipe at the cooler end with only a few drips.
