Turbo whistle

Came home from work tonight & noticed the turbo whistling louder than normal, goes ok

whistle along with it. It could be a catchy tune

is it a 24v?
Could be a leaky EGR

Mine also whistle... I checked the manifolds etc... Can't find the issue. I took the turbo off, and let someone look at it, they said it is fine...

So I am whistling with it

mine started that last week, when i went looking i noticed a little oil spray on the manifold heat shield - the back side of the flexible hose connecting turbo to that long metal intake pipe that goes over the top had a 2 inch horizontal split in it. had to pull the flex hose off to find the split.

gaffer tape on for now.

new part in at mr t tomorrow - £25 plus vat.

I may have found the cause, a hole in the exhaust just above the flexi bit, am going to try & repair tomorrow, keep ya posted.

Repaired the exhaust, whistle much less noticable.

I had a great whistle 'from the turbo' it sounded just like a dump valve......so after hard acceleration as you lifted the throttle you'd get a "ppooompphh".......sounded great actually but alas it was just a hole in the flex pipe exhaust section and not some fancy aftermarket modification
