I think this engine is refered to as the hand granade engine. but they say its very good in the d22 navara and doesnt give any probs.

The 2002 Nissan Terrano that I used to drive was a 2.7 TD, but I don't know about the later ones.

They put a 3.0 engine in it, I read that it was the Pootroll one.

I thought the Terrano was ok, not as solid as the LC maybe, but it is Europes biggest selling 4x4 (or was I suppose).

Shame about the 3.0 engine, I quite the look of the Patrols.

The Ford one was called the Maverick, but I think they were all built in the same place, Spain, or Mexico, or somewhere.

I was looking at the patrol when i was looking for an 80 but every one i went to look at was rotten even 06 ones. They rust worse then a disco !!! nice to drive though. If i had found a 4.2 td i would have gone for it i expect. the drive train on the patrols is alot bigger.
