Website experts

Cheers mate, have sent you a message.

Does anyone know whether the concept of users signing up to a site, having their own visible calendar, and being able to book a slot in another user's calendar would be a pain to sort out?

If you intended to build your own calendar service from the ground up, I wish you much luck and sending you all my thoughts and prayers.

Lean on an existing piece like Google calendar, integrate with that.

Yea that's what I advised find a booking system of the shelf and alter it to fit your needs. Maybe something already out there.

Useful advice chaps, cheers.

So I think I'd be looking at an off-the-shelf calendar function, and an off-the-shelf payment function.

In addition, do you know if it would relatively easy to build a site where:

- Users can sign up as a member
- Create a brief profile of themselves (name, picture, blurb, etc)
- Register their location (perhaps village / town / city and postcode) into a searchable database of sorts?

As a cherry on top, I presume the searchable database mentioned above couldn't then automatically populate a map as a visual?

Best
Owen
